The History of Classic American Hearth
Yoder Stove & Supply (now Hearth Classics)
is established outside Portland, Oregon, in the city of Sandy, at the base of Mt. Hood. The company began manufacturing Hearth Pads, becoming the oldest Hearth Pad company in America.
American Panel is founded
in Western Montana.
American Panel Hearth Products moved
to Michigan and is now located in Grand Haven.
Hestia Inc. is formed to acquire American Panel, Inc.
The company’s name originated from American Panel’s founders Jeff and Ann Kreiser’s son. He was in the midst of 8th-grade mythology at the time and offered the fitting name Hestia, the Greek Goddess of Hearth and Home. The acquisition was completed in June 2007.
American Panel, Inc. is renamed
American Panel Hearth Products to better reflect its product line.
Changed the manufacturing processes of Hearth Pads
With a drive for innovation, American Panel Hearth Products made a significant change to the manufacturing processes of Hearth Pads. The combustible particleboard substrates they used to build Hearth Pads were replaced with non-combustible materials to improve safety standards beyond industry requirements.
